Map balloons
Prayer balloon
Tap a pin to see the mosque name and current or next prayer times. Lines use the same green, red, and neutral colors as the list.
Using the map
How to discover mosques and read what you see.
- Pan and zoom the map to explore nearby mosques. Zoomed out you see small dots; zoom in for hex pins with prayer labels.
- Tap a pin to select it — a balloon shows the mosque name and current or next prayer times. The list scrolls to the same mosque.
- Use the salah filter chips (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, Jum'ah) to focus the map and list on one prayer.
- My location centers the map on you at a comfortable zoom. Search by mosque name, area, or city to jump elsewhere.
- Directions opens your preferred maps app for turn-by-turn navigation.
- When zoomed out, Load more expands the search area for additional mosques.
- Guests browse a smaller radius; sign in to see a wider area around you.
Private prayer spaces
Apartment, office, and building musallas for members — not the same as public mosques on the map.
Blue hex pin — a private space approved in Salahtime. List rows show (private space) beside the name. Balloons use a slight blue tint.
Who can see them
Hidden from the public map
Non-members do not see private musallas in discovery. They stay off the public map by default.
Visible to approved members
After a moderator approves your membership, you can see the space nearby and update prayer times like any mosque.
Optional pin on your map
Members can turn on “Show on map” in Account so their active private space appears on Home while signed in.
Nearby check (about 100 m)
Use “Check for private spaces near me” in Account when you are at the building — GPS is required.
How to get one
- Sign in, then open Account → Private prayer space to create or join a space.
- New spaces and memberships are reviewed by a moderator before they go live.
- An existing public mosque listing can be requested for conversion to a private space (apartment / office musalla) from suggest-edit — moderators approve the change.
